Upheaval in the Unclaimed Property Industry

In 2020, the largest unclaimed property service provider in the industry, Keane, was sold - separating its reporting and location lines of business. Upon its sale, Keane’s Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel, Melissa Steinrock, identified a need that was not being met. Specifically, a comprehensive and technology forward provider of real-time information to support companies’ internal compliance programs.

Search for Changes Launched

Scripta’s first round of major enhancements adds a unique functionality that allows users to search for changes over a defined period of time (from January 1, 2020 forward); and to see any changes that are currently in an “Enacted” but not yet “Effective” status. This supports our client’s needs by providing an easy tool to feed the many changes in unclaimed property law, regulations, and/or guidance into their compliance program at set intervals.
